This place has to be, hands down, one of my favorite places I've played to date! Not only did the staff and "OWNERS" take care of the musicians, but they also have a built in music loving crowd who made us feel right at home as we struck the last chord of our first song with a powerful applause!

We started our first set out light, feeling out the crowd and warming up as a five piece, short a lead guitar player. After break we cranked up a bit, added former member / friend Shane Scarazzin on lead guitar and even had Jan Palaggi, the owner and Ed Hurley from the "Hurley Mountain Highway Band" come up and sing with us! The energy was invigorating and intense! Many were dancing and singing along to the songs so loud I couldn't hear myself in the monitors!

It's a great place with a great vibe, and has great people, what more could you ask for! I highly recommend this venue to every band, music, wine, beer, food, or people lover!

Jason Casterlin
4/09/2016

Hillbilly Parade tag:hillbillyparadeband.com,2005:Post/40208322016-02-02T14:50:22-05:002017-01-15T19:16:09-05:00Wingfest 2016We want to thank everyone who was at Wing Fest 2016! Jason is a master storyteller whose songs evoke all kind of emotions, mostly the tender sentiments having to do with love, loss and longing. Jason’s go to has always been his full-sounding, big-bodied voice, and that remains intact here throughout this new original song he wrote. His voice is front and center (that's apparent from the first words out of his mouth with his country drawl even through the anthemic chorus) and has a warmth about it as well. This new song confirms Jason’s brilliance as a songwriter, filled as it is with infectious tunes and with lyrics that capture the ups and downs of life and often reveal the little mysteries that lie just beneath life's surface. Jason will has us all believing – “there’s only in place for us….Down by the Lake”.

~ Andrew Houle ~Hillbilly Parade tag:hillbillyparadeband.com,2005:Post/39193782015-11-08T14:28:07-05:002020-07-03T08:11:31-04:00Priceless

This month my mother-In-law, Donna Napolitano, is featuring this acrylic painting she painted of our son Daniel at the Woodstock School of Art.

The piece is entitled "Priceless" and was a smash hit - especially after Daniel made a special appearance at the show. Unfortunately, there was no internet back then that allowed us to distribute our music to the masses so we were restricted to only selling physical copies at our shows Since that option is available now, we have decided to record four more songs to be released on or before April 1st on iTunes and Amazon! Fore warning, it is a little different than what you are used to hearing from me lately but for a music enthusiast with a love for 90's rock I'm sure you will love it!

With that said I will also be tracking a new song or songs with the J.C.B.! We haven't decided on all the tunes we would like to get done but have one or more we can't wait for you to hear! Our goal is to have a double release party for both bands on May 17th at our favorite venue in Orange County, N.Y. Orange County Choppers!

These images are the covers for Patience Bound our first 7 song E.P. released on cassette in 1997 and "Photo Not Available" a 10 song album released on CD in 1999!
Thanks for reading, Jason Casterlin 2/2/2014

Hillbilly Parade tag:hillbillyparadeband.com,2005:Post/21394332013-12-02T17:09:26-05:002017-01-15T19:16:08-05:00Orange County Choppers Cafe' and Fill - A - Need Foundation

Hey Everyone!

I want to send out a big "Thank You!" to everyone for their support Saturday night! We had an amazing night with amazing talent who helped make the night a huge success! It was about much more than live music and good food - they aired an episode of OCC on their new station C.M.T., and they built a bike to support the Fill-A-Need Foundation to be raffled off. The Fill-A-Need Foundation is raising awareness for adults with Autism. Please visit their site to see how you can help or just to learn more about Autism. Their are links below!

Thanks again,
Jason

ABOUT THE EPISODE:
Fill-a-Need, a start-up organization promoting autism awareness, wants OCC to build them a chopper. When Rick drops a bomb that he will be out of town for most of the build, Evan must rise to the challenge of both managing the project and fabricating the bike without Rick's help. Things go smoothly until Evan decides that he wants to change the design of the exhaust. Paul Senior forbids him to, wanting him to stick to the approved design, but Evan really wants to prove to Senior that his new version of the exhaust will take the bike to the next level. When Evan presents his new design to Senior, Senior is livid that Evan went behind his back and changed the design after being told not to. After deliberating with Steve and Ron, Senior decides to demote Evan to solely a fabricator. He just hopes Evan will stick around.

https://www.facebook.com/BuddhaBabesMusic
http://toddmihan.com/

I am sure you can all sympathize with how busy the Holidays can be. Waking up earlier to get the house cleaned for guests to stay the night, putting the finishing touchs on the food you have been preparing for the past couple of days or just getting ready to travel to your favorite restaurant, family or friends house.

We should all take a step back from this technological world for one day and be thankful for the people we have to share this day with, past and present. Any past family and friends that you may have shared this day with have made a memorable impression on you, good or bad. It's hard to see these things happen with our faces buried in our phones, computers, etc... Don't let these memories slip past you, you may never get the chance to have the same one again.

Thanks for all your support and everyone from the "Jason Casterlin Band"! We had a such a good time last night! I want to send out a great big thank you to our friends at Thunder 102.1 in Liberty N.Y.! This is my third of three annual Jimmy Wayne "Where You're Going" events. Shane and I had the pleasure of sharing the stage again with our good friends Somerville and of course Jimmy! Not to long after that I married that same woman. I now have her, a couple room mates and a house full of animals that I wouldn't trade for the world.

All of my teenage and young adult life before Jessica never thought that get married. Everyone I had a relationship with before her lacked a certain something that her and I have together. We are two very different people from two very different worlds but somehow we work. Funny how that works, right? It's still crazy to me that when any of our friends are having marital or just plain old relationship issues I explain to them "It should just be easy." That's a quote that Jess and I live by. I'm not saying we don't fight because that wouldn't be healthy but they are short and sweet. In the words of our room mate and friend Paige "They never fight about the same thing twice." which we both take as a compliment.

I'm probably not the guy she dreamed of being with, in fact I know I'm not because she has told me, Haha! I do know that I am the best guy for her though and that's why we keep going strong after almost eight years.

She is my life, my love and my strength and I'm sure I don't tell her nearly enough. Thank you Jessica Casterlin for being so supportive of my dreams and thank you for being you.

These are the lyrics to a beautiful song sang by Alison Krauss that should be the anthem to anyone who feels the same way about their wife, husband or partner!
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/alisonkrauss/theluckyone.html

Jason -11/23/2013Hillbilly Parade tag:hillbillyparadeband.com,2005:Post/20997912013-11-22T20:08:49-05:002015-10-14T20:15:01-04:00What site is the right one for bands to promote? So I have been having really good luck with our shows at Orange County Choppers thanks to Facebook and other forms of social media, I think? The past couple days I have tried to promote from multiple computers by sending out invites on Facebook for my show tomorrow night with Jimmy Wayne and next week at O.C.C.. Except, I have been told by Facebooks programmed error message that some people may not want to recieve this message and I need to wait until more people accept it for them to allow me to do it again. HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THAT IS?

I'm sorry for yelling so soon into our new website but their platform has never been good for band promoting, which leads me to my question.

What site is the right one for bands to promote?

When I talk to a generation or two younger than me they say Instagram and Twitter. bAdults my age and older are still on Facebook though. Let's just get this out of the way, I'm greedy and want EVERYONE at once!

How do I do that, any suggestions?
